Marie Huggin

Marie began her career as a studio watercolorist. Her paintings have been juried into numerous regional and international shows and she is a juried, signature member of 5 regional watercolor societies. In recent years she has been an active “plein air” oil painter. She enjoys the various techniques of alla prima painting and the effects of outdoor light on a subject. She believes outdoor painting offers unique opportunities to use color and value that are not always afforded in the studio.

Marie has a  Masters & Bachelors in Art from San Diego State University. She has taught Art for 35 years at San Diego Community College, Mohave Community College and Front Range Community College.
